Warp is a project that I have been following for a time and have been a part of the beta program. It shows what the capabilities are now that we have AI-integration with everything. Having AI as part of the command line saves a massive amount of time. The command line is one of the most tedious environments to navigate and be productive in. So, AI help here is one of the most beneficial developments I think for AI-integration.

Warp has been available for a while on macOS and Linux. However, now Warp has been officially released for Windows. So Warp now has coverage across all the major OS'es that developers and DevOps professionals use.

Some of the features:

  • Built-in AI help: You can use natural language inputs to debug errors, help with your code, search through logs, etc.

  • Collaboration: You can share sessions and save commands to personal or team drives. Also, you can distribute your workflows using links. This can be used for both Warp and non-Warp users.

  • Modern UI experience/UX: You have input/output blocks and an IDE-like text editor for command-line navigation. Warp also has support for PowerShell, WSL, and Git Bash

  • Exclusive AI Offer: New Warp on Windows users who download and who install it before March 26, 2025, will receive double AI credits for the first month

  • Consistent across platforms -ย Warp uses 98% of the same code base across platforms like macOS, Linux, and Windows so this helps to make the product consistent and reliable across all development environments.

Where can you download Warp for Windows? You can download it here:

Using natural language queries in the terminal

The extremely cool thing you can do with Warp is use natural language queries with the Warp terminal to get help with your command line syntax.
