Would it be possible for you (anyone) to make a tutorial / video on how to configure CEPH dedicated network?

Scenario: I have VMs installed on CEPH storage for HA. At the moment I am using the same network card for Proxmox host and VMs. I would like to instal a 2.5Gb or 10Bg or 100GBit network card and use it primarily for CEPH replication/storage....ย

Thanks

@slimtom welcome to the forums! Are you wanting to know how to reconfigure your Ceph network if I am following to use a different, diedicated network to segregate this traffic from general VM/management traffic?

@brandon-lee yes. My four servers have a built in 1gb Lan that suffice for VM traffic. But for Proxmox/CEPH I bought 10Gb cards and a switch..

I think this would be probable scenario for many of us..

I've followed your very useful tutorial on how to setup Proxmo cluster with CEPH:

Proxmox 8 Cluster with Ceph Storage configuration (youtube.com)

..and this could be a fantastic follow up on that.ย

For instance:

When setup a proxmox host/s with one network card, this card shares VM traffic and CEPH traffic. If the host has two or more (add-in) network cards, it would be useful to use one for VM traffic, other for CEPH traffic etc.ย

How to set this up?

@slimtom definitely sounds like a good topic or walkthrough video. I may brainstorm on this and see how I could approach that one. Thank you for the suggestion!
