I got my MiniForum MS-01 with 32gb of memory and I wanted to upgrade the memory.ย  I saw that Servethehome installed two 48gb sticks of crucial memory (Crucial CT48G56C46S5 ). Has anyone else upgraded their memory to 96gb and did the MS-01 see all the memory? I am looking to load Proxmox on my MS-01 and of either going full 96 gb or getting one 48gb chips and using one of the 16gb chips (will this work okay if both the memories are the same speed but different gb sizes so would one 48gb and one 16gb work okay in the MS-01?

@dbarjim, I am still running 64 GB in mine as I had the extra 32 GB DIMMs I could install. I know one that has recently bought 48 GB DIMMs is @malcolm-r.ย

@malcolm-r I saw you post that you had purchased the 48 GB DIMMs. Any issues there?

@brandon-lee I was thinking about getting one 48gb stick and remove one of the 16gb sticks, but not sure if that would be a problem if I made sure the memory speed was the same on the 48gb and the 16gb and not sure if they both need to be 16gb or 48gb or if one could be 16gb and one 48gb?

@malcolm-rย  ย I did not get the 48gb stick of memory yet, I was just checking to see if anyone has already tried to match a 16&48gb sticks of memory and if it worked or not but also looking for people that are using 96gb of memory like ServetheHome did on their review

@dbarjim Ah gotcha now. I would imagine you would be able to mix the RAM modules, but it will probably impact dual-channel memory performance. Dual-channel supposes that the memory modules are exactly the same to work efficiently. But outside of that, thinking it would work. I will see if I have some mismatched DDR5 that I can throw in the MS-01 and test.

@dbarjim I was able to test this morning. I installed a 16 GB DIMM that was DDR5 5600 memory and left the DDR5 4800 32 GB DIMM I had in place. It looks like there is no issue booting or so far with stability, but won't have much time today to test stability thoroughly. But it does look like it handles mismatched sizes and even speeds.

The 48 GB below comprised of:

- 32 GB DDR5-4800

- 16 GB DDR5-5600
