Hi, Brandon!

Your post is really cool. I've been following mini PCs for a while now, hoping to find something really good with the maximum possible RAM. I was excited by your information about possible 64GB sticks. However, it's still something that's going to be released and the boards would need to have their BIOS updated to be compatible, which may or may not happen. At the moment, the MS-01, Core Ultra, and now the all-powerful 7945HX, which previously also had the 7940HX, are the ultimate mini PCs that can currently be assembled with up to 96GB of RAM. However, I'm also analyzing the Erying kits with 13900HX options with 4 RAM slots that can go up to 192GB of RAM. Currently, I think that would be the best mini PC or micro ATX that I could assemble at the moment. There are just no reviews of the Erying kits with 4 slots on the market. I'd have to buy them blindly to test them out.

That said, I intend to put together the best cost-benefit in energy consumption, because in my country energy is absurdly expensive and it would have to be left on 24 hours a day. I'll wait for you to update the post tomorrow with the 7945hx's consumption.

@lucassr-job welcome to the forums and great insights with your posts! I haven't gotten my hands on the Erying kits as of yet, but like you there seems to be little information on them currently. I am hoping on the 64 GB DIMMs that support will follow soon for the bigger DIMMs. We are quickly outpacing the available memory we have with the processing power for these platforms. 96 GB of memory feels a bit anemic compared to the amount of horsepower of these CPUs.ย

That said, I am excited to see what comes this year in the realm of mini pcs and hardware in general. The 128 GB possibility in a mini PC would be a game changer though I think and would put things where I was used to with Supermicro servers in the home lab just a few years back with the much more powerful CPUs we have today.

@brandon-lee Yes, I hope this turning point comes soon, as it will be a huge step forward in terms of performance per watt.
