Recently, I posted a post about the perfect home lab environment. Also, in conjunction with this post, the latest video for my channel focuses on this configuration and also I partnered with Minisforum for a Minisforum MS-A1 giveaway.

Mini PCs and lab environments

I have been shifting from enterprise servers and older enterprise gear to new mini PCs for the home lab environment. Mini PCs have the perfect mix of performance, power efficiency, and features with the models available from vendors like Minisforum.

Recently, I have shifted my lab from a vSAN cluster back to a traditional storage cluster for a few reasons, including what I am seeing in the field as well as limitations on the number of NVMe drives that are available in the MS-01.

However, this has been working out well for me in the lab environment so far. So, I wanted to document my journey on this front by way of a video. Also, check out my written post covering the topic as well:
